About Angela Pickard

Angela practices as a family mediator with interest and expertise in mental health, wellness and alternative dispute resolution. She is a registered social worker, accredited family mediator, and family professional in collaborative practice.

Angela received her Masters in Social Work (M.S.W.) from Columbia University School of Social Work in New York City, Advanced Bachelor in Social Work (B.S.W.) from McGill University and Honors Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Hons.) from the University of Western Ontario. 

She is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW),  member of Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM), member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) and Ontario Chapter, member of the Peel-Halton Collaborative Practice Group and most recently Board Member of the Ontario Association of Collaborative Professionals (OACP) as Co-Chair of the Practices & Procedures Committee.

Angela has worked in the areas of mental health, substance abuse,  domestic violence, infectious disease and program planning / development / evaluation at several agencies including Sick Kids Hospital (Toronto,ON), Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (Toronto, ON), South Riverdale Community Health Centre (Toronto,ON), Public Health Agency of Canada (Toronto,ON), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Manhattan, NYC), Palladia Inc. (Harlem, NYC), Counselling Services Units Kings Country District Attorney's Office (Brooklyn, NYC), Outpatient Psychiatry Jewish General Hospital (Montreal, QC), Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (Toronto, ON), Commonwealth Caribbean Youth Centre (Georgetown, Guyana)
